Thanks for looking at my auctions. I am a collector, not a dealer, selling stamps that are excess to my needs. I buy collections in order to add to my own, and sell the remainder. I bought this album a few weeks ago that held a beautiful collection. What I didnt know was that a significant number of the stamps were very firmly attached to the pages. The previous owner used hinges that are very tenacious and his hinging technique was somewhat defective. Consequently, it has been a chore to remove stamps from the pages. I wanted to show the stamps on their pages, but I needed to verify that the stamps could be removed successfully. So I have chosen to remove the stamps as I normally do. This has taken a liberal application of UHU stamp remover, which is wonderful stuff. It loosens the stamp from the page or its hinge, without affecting the gum on mint stamps. In some cases, the stamps curl a bit after loosening, but will flatten out quickly in an album. I have had excellent success with this removal technique, though it does take some time and effort, so I can guarantee that the stamps you see in the pictures are those that you will receive, if you win this item in the auction.
